Pros/Cons of Gambling Gambling definition- ââ¬Å"The betting or staking of something of value, with consciousness of risk and hope of gain, on the outcome of a game, a contest, or an uncertain event whose result may be determined by chance or accident or have an unexpected result by reason of the bettorââ¬â¢s miscalculation.â⬠Some gambling games are craps, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, and trente et quarante. Some of the things people bet on are horse racing, dog racing, and dog and rat fights. Casinos often have musical shows, lighted fountains, shopping centers, and lavish hotels. Games of chance include slot machines, blackjack, roulette, craps, keno, and baccarat. Casinos may also have restaurants and stage shows.
